When and who is my contact/emergency contact info shown to?
By default all your information is kept private from the public. Vetted first responders have the ability to lookup your item by it’s serial number.

Alternatively, you may permit public access to your contact/emergency contact info on a per item basis. You may allow this upon item registration, or later by editing your item’s info.

How is my personal information used?
All your information is saved, encrypted, and only used to aid in the recovery and reuniting of your item.


What happens to the info I submit in a “found” report?
When you submit a “found” report, this information is sent to the owner of the item. If you’ve provided any contact info, they will receive it and may contact you.

What if have sold or lost my item?
Login here and mark your item as sold or no longer in your possession and it will be removed from your account along with your item’s info.

Why is it free?
Rec-Safe is a non-profit whose mission is to help educate about recreational safety. Rec-Safe also provides free services and programs such as this to the community.

Where can I get more stickers?
Check here for local Hawai’i shops. Keep an eye out for them at your local outdoor retailer. You can also contact us and we’ll send you a few!

How can my shop or organization get stickers to customize and/or distribute?
