Archery Virtual Tournament

TOURNAMENT RULES AND PROCEDURES

All archers participating in the Virtual Tournament series must be a member of a Youth, Collegiate or Adult Archery Program Club or a Rec-Safe membership. Temporary memberships are excluded. Club leaders or coaches need to email their Club info before submitting scores. The Club will conduct a single Virtual Tournament event. The Club leader will be responsible for submitting official scores at the conclusion of the designated event or; An archer may participate in a virtual tournament event with an identical round type. The event must take place during the same month as the Virtual Tournament for which the scores will be submitted, and follow the same indoor or outdoor Virtual Tournament procedures. The Club leader will be responsible for submitting official scores at the conclusion of the event. Please Note: Club leaders should not permit archers to shoot multiple scores for the Virtual Tournament. Rec-Safe reserves the right to disqualify a Club if the Virtual Tournament Rules are not followed. Submissions from Club leaders should include the scoresheet and photo of each corresponding target face per archer.

INDOOR VIRTUAL TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES

Archers shall score an official Virtual Tournament indoor round – 30 arrows (10 ends – 3 arrows each) on the GEO target face at the appropriate distance. Three archers will double score the round with a Club leader or coach present. Tie Breakers: Ties are determined by 14’s, 12’s, 10’s, and then if still tied, 8’s.

OUTDOOR VIRTUAL TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES

Archers shall score an official Virtual Tournament outdoor distance round – 36 arrows (6 ends – 6 arrows each or 12 ends – 3 arrows each), using the GEO target face. Three archers will double score the round with a Club leader or coach present. Tie Breakers: Ties are determined by 14’s, 12’s, 10’s, and then if still tied, 8’s.

TEAM ROUND PROCEDURES

Up to three archers may form an Archery Club team comprised of multiple classes (ages) for each division (bow type): Recurve, Barebow, Compound. Registered Clubs may enter multiple teams in each division using an archer only once per division. For the team round, archers will use their score from their individual round. All team members must be a member of the reporting Club.

AWARDS

Results will be posted online after the conclusion of each month and certificates will be provided to the first, second, and third place winners (individual and teams) for each division. Individuals or same-member Teams that submit a qualifying score 10 of 12 months of the year may be eligible for Archer or Team of the Year. See below.

FEES

The fee for the tournament is $0 per archer per division and $0 per team. An archer may enter more than one division (Fees are $0 per division entered). Scores will not be posted until payment has been processed.

VIRTUAL TOURNAMENT AGE CLASSES

50+ Athlete may compete in the 50+ class starting in the year of their 50th birthday.

Senior Athletes may compete as a Senior at any age.

U21 Athletes may compete in the U21 class up to and through the year of their 20th birthday.

U18 Athletes may compete in the U18 class up to and through the year of their 17th birthday.

U15 Athletes may compete in the U15 class up to and through the year of their 14th birthday.

U13 Athletes may compete in the U13 class up to and through the year of their 12th birthday.

Yeoman This class is for youth archers up to and through the year of their 9th birthday.

VIRTUAL TOURNAMENT CATEGORIES

Per each AGE CLASS, a submission may be made to one INDIVIDUAL category per month. An individual score may be used for one TEAM submission per month.

  1. Female Individual Indoor: Compound, Barebow, Recurve
  2. Female Individual Outdoor: Compound, Barebow, Recurve
  3. Male Individual Indoor: Compound, Barebow, Recurve
  4. Male Individual Outdoor: Compound, Barebow, Recurve
  5. Team Indoor: Same Age Class, Open Age Class
  6. Team Outdoor: Same Age Class, Open Age Class

ARCHER / TEAM OF THE YEAR

Individual Archers and/or same-member Teams that submit a qualifying score each 10 out of 12 months for the year will have their scores tallied, handicapped, and be eligible for Archer/Team of the Year. Winners will win prizes donated by Rec-Safe and its sponsors.
